1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the Service:

• Account information: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, and avatar you provide when you register or sign in.
• Activity data: titles you watch, reading/watch progress, saved library, and comments you post.
• Wallet & purchases: your coin balance, unlock history, and purchase/transaction records (payments are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play — see §4).
• Device & technical data: device time zone (for daily features), an app-generated pseudonymous device identifier (a random value, not an advertising ID), and basic view/play events used for first-party analytics.
• Support communications: messages you send to us (e.g., by email or in-app reports).

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• Your date of birth entered for age verification is stored only on your device and is not sent to our servers.

3. How we use your information

• Provide and operate the Service (stream content, sync your library and progress across devices).
• Manage your account, wallet, unlocks, rewards, and comments.
• Keep the Service safe: prevent fraud/abuse, moderate user content, and enforce our Terms.
• Respond to your support requests and send service-related notifications.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Payments and virtual coins

In the mobile apps, coins and premium purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. Those stores handle your payment method; we do not receive or store your full card details. We receive confirmation of the purchase to credit your account.

On the website, payments may be processed by our third-party payment processor under its own privacy terms.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that host and operate the Service on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, database, content delivery), under confidentiality obligations.
• With Apple / Google to process in-app purchases.
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or Solona.

6. AI-generated content

Films on Solona are AI-generated and do not depict real people. Where a feature sends your input to an AI service, we will disclose it and, where required, name the AI providers involved. We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models without your consent.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account (see §9), we delete or anonymize your personal data, except records we must retain for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Your rights & choices

• Access & update: view or change your profile in the app.
• Delete your account and data: in-app (Account → Delete Account) or via the Account Deletion page (solona.tv/delete-account).
• Depending on your country, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, objection, portability) under laws such as Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), the EU GDPR, or the California CCPA/CPRA. Contact us to exercise them.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We use an age gate at first launch and do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International users & transfers

We operate from Vietnam and may process data on servers in other countries. By using the Service you understand your data may be transferred and processed in locations with different data-protection laws.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
